Kiev lost over 30,000 troops in Russia’s Kursk Region — Putin

At the same time, Ukraine lost fewer tanks - around 200, compared to 240 lost last year

SOCHI, November 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin estimated Ukraine’s losses from the incursion into Russia's borderline Kursk Region at more than 30,000 troops.

"They [the armed forces of Ukraine] crossed into the Kursk Region, but their losses are enormous. In more than three months of hostilities, they lost over 30,000 troops - more than Kiev’s total losses during the entire year of 2023," the president told Thursday’s plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club.

At the same time, Ukraine lost fewer tanks - "around 200, compared to 240 lost last year."

"They simply have fewer tanks, so their losses have also declined. They simply use them less often," Putin explained.
