Moscow court arrests St. Petersburg resident suspected of high treason, terrorism

The meeting on the arrest of Vyacheslav Lutor was behind closed doors

MOSCOW, July 29. /TASS/. Moscow’s Lefortovo District Court has arrested Russian national Vyacheslav Lutor charged with high treason and participation in a terrorist organization, a source in the court told TASS.

"The court satisfied a petition by FSB investigators and imposed detainment as a pre-trial measure for Lutor V. A. suspected under Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code (high treason) and Part 2, Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code (participating in the activities of a terrorist organization)," the source said. The court did not specify any details of criminal cases against the detainee. Proceedings on his arrest were held behind closed doors.

A source in law enforcement told TASS that Lutor, 33, is a resident of St. Petersburg and worked in the banking sector.
