MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Taiwan’s restrictions on exports of 77 kinds of machine tools to Russia will not cause problems with availability of such equipment, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade told TASS.
"New sanctions will not affect the technological sovereignty of Russia because either Russian machine tools are produced or equipment supplies from friendly nations continue at present for all listed kinds of equipment," the ministry said.
Taiwanese authorities made the decision to expand restrictions on exports of high-technology products to Russia and Belarus by 77 kinds of machine tools. In particular, restrictions cover CNC machines, processing, turning, milling and polishing machine tools. New measures will come into force from March 8.
