Russia’s additional oil and gas revenues can reach $1.38 bln in March

In January 2024, the figure amounted to $7.42 bln

MOSCOW, March 5. /TASS/. The Russian budget can receive additional oil and gas revenues of 125.2 bln rubles ($1.38 bln) in March, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.

"The expected volume of additional oil and gas revenues of the federal budget is projected in the amount of 125.2 bln rubles in March 2024," the statement said.

According to the Ministry of Finance, at the end of February 2024, the total actual oil and gas revenues received decreased by 31.5 bln rubles ($346.39 mln) compared to expected monthly and base monthly oil and gas revenues.

The volume of payments from the budget to oil companies for fuel dampers in February 2024 amounted to 127.9 bln rubles ($1.4 bln), and 146.6 bln rubles ($1.39 bln) in January, the Ministry of Finance noted.

The ministry also noted that Russia increased the volume of oil and gas revenues in February 2024 1.8-fold in annual terms to 945.6 bln rubles ($10.4 bln) compared to 521.2 bln rubles ($5.73 bln) a year earlier.

In January 2024, the figure amounted to 675.2 bln rubles ($7.42 bln).

Taxes on production and exports of oil and gas condensate brought 1.074 trillion rubles ($11.81 bln) to the budget in February, which is twice as much as a year earlier.
