WASHINGTON, December 12. /TASS/. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is closely watching the situation regarding plans to use Russian assets immobilized by the West and is mindful of potential risks, the IMF Mission Chief for Ukraine, Gavin Gray, told an online conference.

"We are closely following the debates on the possible usage of Russian frozen assets," Gray said. According to him, the IMF "is mindful of the risks to the international monetary system of any of such initiatives."
