India boosts exports of goods and services to more than $62 bln in October

NEW DELHI, November 15. /TASS/. In October, India exported more than $62 bln in products and services, an increase of more than 9% over the same period last year, the country’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry noted in its report.

"In October 2023, exports of goods increased by 6.21% to $33.57 bln from $31.60 bln in October 2022," the ministry confirmed. The value of service exports from April to October 2023 is anticipated to reach $192.6 bln. The figure was $181 billblnion during the same period last year, representing a more than 6% increase, according to the department.

Furthermore, the decline in the overall trade deficit from April to October 2023 indicated the positive dynamics in Indian trade. It is predicted to fall by 35.8$ from $89.8 bln in 2022 to $57.6 bln in 2023.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, sales of commodities other than oil products and jewelry overseas climbed by nearly 12% in October, totaling $24.5 bln.
