Putin expects Russian economy to grow by around 3% by year end

The head of state added that the Russian economy has been showing positive dynamics in the last 2 months

ASTANA, November 9. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin expects the country's economic growth to be about 3% by the end of the year, he said following talks with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

"Our economy is growing. This year there will be growth, well, not the same, of course, as in Kazakhstan, [where it is] more than 5%, but for the Russian economy today and in general for the Russian economy, 3% growth is decent. In general, for the year it will be somewhere around 3%," he said.

Putin said that the Russian economy has been showing positive dynamics in the last 2 months. "Over the last 2 months, there has been 5.2% growth every month," he said.
