BEIJING, April 13. /TASS/. Trade turnover between China and the US fell by 13.1% in Q1 year-on-year to $161.58 bln, the General Administration of Customs of China reported on Thursday.
Chinese exports to the US lost 17% to $115.23 bln, while imports of US products slipped by 1.7% to $46.35 bln, according to the report.
Consequently, China's trade surplus with the US reached $68.88 bln over three months, down by around 25% year-on-year.
In March, China-US trade volume amounted to $59.76 bln, up by about 40% compared with February. Chinese exports climbed by 60% in the period to $43.67 bln, while imports from the US added 4.7% to $16.08 bln.
