MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, who visited the Tambov gunpowder plant today, urged enterprises of the defense industry to speed up production amid the ongoing special military operation.
"There are several issues. The most important one, in my opinion, is that we need to work faster," Medvedev said at a meeting of the working group of the Russian Military-Industrial Commission on control over the production of in-demand weapons, military and special equipment and means of destruction. Medvedev published a recording of the meeting on the VKontakte social network.
"The prospects we have and the needs we have today require the most coordinated and rapid work," the official pointed out.
Medvedev emphasized that the Tambov gunpowder plant, as well as other enterprises, "produce extremely necessary in the conditions of the special military operation gunpowder." "Here pyroxylin [is produced], elsewhere there are other chemicals for various artillery, small arms, for other means of destruction," he specified.
At the meeting, he suggested discussing financing issues. "It is important for us that the existing investment plans are implemented," he underscored.
