MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. A total of 38 ceasefire violations by illegal armed groups were reported during the day in Syria, including 18 — in the province of Aleppo, 15 — in the province of Damascus, two — in the province of Latakia, two — in the province of Hama, and one — in the province of Homs, the Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria said in its regular daily bulletin posted on the Russian Defense Ministry’s official website on Monday.
"Armed groups which have declared joining the regime of cessation of hostilities conducted fire from home-made multiple missile launcher systems, mortars and firearms at the settlement of Azizi in the province of Aleppo and Aleppo’s district of Hai al-Antari; at the settlements of Jobar, Harasta, Bleliye, the Tishreen hospital and height 612 in the province of Damascus; and at the settlement of Ain Sleima and positions of government forces on Abu Ali mount in the province of Latakia," the center said.
Paramilitary terrorist groups shelled from home-made multiple missile launcher systems, artillery systems, mortars and firearms Aleppo’s districts of Ramusi, 3000, 1070, Al-Zahra, Binyamin, Al-Maydam, Arian, Al-Masharqa, the Al-Assad military academy, the Castello trade center, and the area near the former military school.
"In the province of Damascus, terrorists shelled the settlements of Hawsh-Nasr, Arbin, and Baytima, a sports ground in the settlement of Jobar, and the al-Wafidin camp near the settlement of Douma," the Russian center reported. "In the province of Hama, terrorists shelled the settlement of Maharda and a heat plant near it. In the province of Homs, the city of Homs came under shelling by terrorists."
No air strikes were delivered by the Russian air group and the Syrian air force at armed opposition group which have declared cessation of hostilities and informed the Russian or US reconciliation centers about their locations, as follows from the bulletin.
Reconciliation agreements were signed during the day with representatives of nine more settlements in Syria, including five — in the province of Latakia, two — in the province of Homs, and two — in the province of Hama, the Russian center said. "The number of settlements joining the reconciliation process has reached 904," the center noted.
Talks on joining the regime of cessation of hostilities were continued with field commanders of armed opposition groups in the settlement of Muaddamiya al-Sham in the province of Damascus and commanders of armed opposition groups in the provinces of Homs, Aleppo and al-Quneitra, according to the bulletin.
The number illegal armed groups that declared their commitment to the ceasefire terms remains unchanged — 69, as follows from the bulletin.
Apart from that, according to the Russian center, efforts are continued to relieve the humanitarian situation in Syria. During the day, one humanitarian operation was conducted in Aleppo’s Sharia Faisal district. About one tonne of humanitarian cargoes, or 720 packages with bread, were distributed among civilians.
Hot meals and living essentials distribution outlets are open for civilians leaving Aleppo’s neighborhoods controlled by illegal armed groups, the bulletin says.
The Russian Defense Ministry declared the establishment of the reconciliation center on February 23. It is headquartered at the Hmeymim air base, Latakia province. The center was set up in line with agreements reached by Russia and the United States to facilitate the negotiations between the Syrian government and opposition and to organize humanitarian deliveries.
