Chinese, Kazakh diplomats hold security consultations

China and Kazakhstan plan to hold a series of high-level meetings in 2025

BEIJING, January 23. /TASS/. Chinese Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Liu Bin and Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev held a meeting of the bilateral security cooperation subcommittee, the Chinese foreign ministry said.

According to the ministry, the 13th subcommittee meeting was held in Beijing and yielded a protocol where the sides agreed to strengthen security cooperation and contribute to maintaining peace and stability in China and Kazakhstan, as well as across the globe.

China and Kazakhstan plan to hold a series of high-level meetings in 2025, Liu said, adding that it is necessary to implement the important consensus that was reached by the two countries’ leaders and promote the development of bilateral relations.

Bakayev, in turn, hailed the high level of cooperation between the two countries and expressed readiness to strengthen ties at all levels and give a fresh impetus to comprehensive cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.
