MOSCOW, March 1. /TASS/. Russia never stops working on measures to counter potential attacks on the Crimean Bridge, a senior Russian lawmaker told TASS.
"We are not afraid of anything and are prepared for all possible scenarios. We are daily working on measures to counter any types of attacks on the bridge," Vladimir Bulavin, head of the defense and security committee of Russia’s Federation Council (upper house of parliament), said commenting on audio records featuring German military officials discussing plans of attacking Crimean Bridge.
According to the Russian lawmaker, this audio recording stresses the importance of ensuring security of Crimea and its infrastructure. "However, it should be noted that information about increased interest to the Crimean Bridge from various foreign partners is neither new nor unexpected," he said.
Earlier, the RT broadcaster’s editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan reported that on the day when German Chancellor Olaf Scholz vowed that NATO was not participating and would not participate in the Ukrainian conflict, high-ranking German officers were discussing the possibility of attacking the Crimean Bridge in a way that would help avoid consequences for the German authorities. Simonyan said there was an audio recording of this conversation.
