Russia to continue delivering humanitarian aid to Mali — Russia’s top diplomat

Sergey Lavrov noted that Russia delivered to Mali 50,000 metric tons of wheat grain over the past year

MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Russia will continue providing support to Mali in the form of humanitarian aid supplies, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday.

"We have discussed Mali’s needs in humanitarian aid. We [Russia] will definitely continue rendering this assistance," Lavrov said at a news conference after his meeting with Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdoulaye Diop.

Lavrov noted that Russia delivered to Mali "50,000 metric tons of [wheat] grain over the past year, 25,000 metric tons in January this year, 25,000 metric tons of fertilizers last December, and also in January this year it supplied [Mali] with 17,000 metric tons of fuel."
