Russia to draw world’s attention to US' illegal biolab activities — Kremlin

Dmitry Peskov said Russian President Vladimir Putin was "certainly briefed" about the report compiled by the Parliamentary Commission on the Investigation into US Biological Laboratories in Ukraine

MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Russia will do everything it can to draw the world’s attention to the US’ illegal activities related to biological laboratories, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.

"We must do everything in our power to draw the attention of the global community to this unlawful activity by the United States," he told reporters.

Peskov said Russian President Vladimir Putin was "certainly briefed" about the report compiled by the Parliamentary Commission on the Investigation into US Biological Laboratories in Ukraine.

At its plenary session on Wednesday, the Federation Council approved the report of the parliamentary commission to investigate the circumstances around the establishment of biological laboratories by US specialists in Ukraine. The document summed up the work by the commission during the year.

Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said there is clear evidence that the establishment of biological laboratories in Ukraine was organized "by order of the US military department." She said this would be hard to deny because the issues addressed by those labs were "exclusively military, and not at all about peaceful medical research." According to Matviyenko, "the information presented in the report will finally dispel any illusions about the peaceful nature of US scientific research in Ukraine and force the world to look differently at America and its ‘humanitarian’ mission in other countries.".
