Russia is running the UN Security Council this month

MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Neither Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov nor his delegation has yet been issued visas to enter the United States to attend United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meetings in New York later this month, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Wednesday.

"Not a single visa has been issued yet," the diplomat said, responding to a TASS reporter’s question.

Russia is running the UN Security Council this month. The country’s envoy to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, told TASS earlier that Lavrov would visit UN headquarters and participate in UNSC meetings on April 24 and 25.
