Kiev wants to swap Motor Sich CEO, says politician

According to Vladimir Rogov, the Ukrainian authorities began exploring this possibility even before Boguslayev was arrested

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. Ukraine intends to include the arrested CEO of the Motor Sich company Vyacheslav Boguslayev in the list of persons to be exchanged, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the 'We Are Together with Russia’ movement, told a TASS correspondent.

"They will wait a little and then put him on the list of persons to be swapped. Everything is following this scenario step by step," he said.

According to Rogov, the Ukrainian authorities began exploring this possibility even before Boguslayev was arrested. "It was being considered even before his detention and subsequent arrest. The person responsible for this exchange is [Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine] Mikhail Podolyak," he informed.

Earlier, the possibility of Boguslayev's exchange was not ruled out by Podolyak. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the issue, suggesting that he would leave the work on the exchanges to those who were in charge of it.

The Ukrainian Security Service reported on October 23 that the CEO of the Motor Sich company was charged with collaborating and cooperating with Russia. The agency also published audio files of Boguslayev’s telephone conversations allegedly proving his ties with Russia. On October 24, Kiev’s Shevshenkovsky district court arrested Boguslayev for two months.
