Russia to consider Putin-Biden meeting at G20, if such proposal is made — Lavov

The G20 summit to take place on the Indonesian island of Bali on November 15-16

MOSCOW, October 11. /TASS/. Russia will be ready to consider a proposal for a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the G20 summit, if it is made, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on the 60 Minutes program on the Rossiya-1 television news channel.

"We have said many times that we never refuse to hold meetings. If a proposal is received, we will consider it," Lavrov said in reply to a question about the prospects for such a meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit.

If everyone thinks that there is already a sign of Biden's readiness for such a meeting, there is nothing but his "We'll see" remark to rely on Lavrov said.

"This is probably good for journalistic analytical speculations, but not for real politics," he added.

The G20 summit is to take place on the Indonesian island of Bali on November 15-16.
