Two children wounded in the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall — ombudswoman

They are in a moderately grave condition, Maria Lvova-Belova said

MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. At least two children have been wounded in the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall shopping mall and entertainment center near Moscow, Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova said, adding that they are in a moderately grave condition.

"There are wounded children, not many of them so far. There is a boy with a gunshot wound, but all are in a moderately grave condition so far. <…> There is a boy who was struck with the buttstock of a rifle, in a stable condition," she said in an interview aired by the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

A terrorist attack was carried out at the Crocus City Hall music venue in the city of Krasnogorsk near Moscow on Friday evening. Unidentified gunmen armed with assault rifles went on a shooting spree. An explosion rocked the building, starting a fire. The special services are conducting a search operation. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin canceled all mass events in the capital in the next two days, and a number of other Russian regions followed suit.
