Russia will increase its share in global LNG market

The head of state noted that attempts are being made nevertheless to prevent our growth, adding that this is an unfair tool of restraining competition

MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Moscow will increase its share of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the international market, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Q&A session combined with his annual press conference.

"This product [LNG - TASS] will enjoy the demand in international markets. We will continue doing it and will increase our share in global LNG markets," the head of state said.

"The known Novatek company is not the leader. Other countries, including the United States, produce more LNG. Still, we are growing. Attempts are being made nevertheless to prevent our growth. This is an unfair tool of restraining competition. And this is bad for them. This is because they will control competition by such ways and not by economic methods, they will lose competitiveness themselves," the president noted.
