HR needs to be addressed by internal resources first — Economy Ministry

The use of modern technologies is one of the key solutions to this problem, Tatyana Ilyushnikova said

MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. The country’s demand for human resources should be met by domestic sources in the first instance, and the migration policy must be carefully balanced, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Tatyana Ilyushnikova said at a plenary session in the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament.

"The need for human resources must be addressed using internal resources to ensure the economy's sustainability. The migration policy must be balanced. We cannot rely endlessly on this resource to meet demands. We believe internal sources are the priority," Ilyushnikova stressed.

The use of modern technologies is one of the key solutions to this problem, she said.

"The population is finite; demographic constraints are in place. The only solution is modern technologies. Robotization and automation of processes, as both developing and developed economies are accustomed to doing," the official added.
