MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. The Moscow Military District has begun training FPV interceptor squads composed of reservists to protect infrastructure facilities, the district’s press service told TASS.

"Training of FPV interceptor units composed of reservists has begun in the Moscow Military District. Citizens in the reserve who have passed the selection process and expressed a desire to voluntarily participate in the defense of the capital region’s airspace have begun training," the statement says.

The Moscow Military District noted that the training program includes studying the technical characteristics of FPV interceptor drones, practicing piloting skills on specialized simulators, and conducting practical flights at training ranges.

"The newly formed FPV interceptor units will serve as an additional layer of airspace defense. They will operate alongside air defense forces and facilities, mobile armed units, and air surveillance posts, complementing the existing layered defense system of the Moscow Military District and critical infrastructure facilities," the statement said.
