Russian Railways expects loading volumes to decrease by 2.7% in April to 102.6 mln tons

The volume loaded on the network of Russian Railways in Q1 2024 went down by 3.1% year-on-year to 295.9 mln tons

MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. The volume loaded on the network of Russian Railways is expected at 102.6 mln tons in April 2024, which is 2.7% lower than in the same period in 2023, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Alexey Shilo told reporters.

"We target the volume of 102.6 mln tons in April, which is 2.7% lower than in 2023," he said.

Earlier reports said that Russian Railways’ loading volumes fell by 3.5% in March year-on-year to 105.3 mln tons.

The volume loaded on the network of Russian Railways in Q1 2024 went down by 3.1% year-on-year to 295.9 mln tons.

The company’s daily loading target for April is 3.421 mln tons, Shilo added.
