Trade relations between Russia, Azerbaijan developing steadily

The two countries managed to achieve progress in many areas of cooperation in recent years, Ali Asadov stressed

BAKU, March 5. /TASS/. The trade turnover with Russia will hopefully grow as of the end of this year, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov said during talks with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin.

"Russia is one of important trade partners of Azerbaijan. Trade and economic relations between our countries are developing steadily; mutual trade is growing confidently. Our trade turnover reached the record high level in 2023, almost $4.4 bln. We hope to reach new heights as of the end of this year," the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan said.

The two countries managed to achieve progress in many areas of cooperation in recent years, Asadov stressed. "These are investment interaction, industrial cooperation, and collaboration in transport, energy, agricultural and cultural-humanitarian spheres," he added.
