ANKARA, February 22. /TASS/. Turkish exports to Russia plummeted by 30.4% year on year in January 2024, according to data posted on the website of the Turkish Assembly of Exporters.
Exports to Russia totaled $551.1 mln this January, compared to $972.1 mln in January 2023. According to state statistical data of Turkey, the decline was 39%, from $1.04 bln to $631 mln.
The drop was 41.1% for chemical exports, 20.4% for fresh vegetables and fruits, and 7.6% for cars, the Assembly said. These items made up the bulk of goods and services supplied to Russia. Machinery exports fell by 23.9%. Exports of electronics and electrical equipment fell by 48.8.
