US State Department sanctions Yota-cofounder, 4 companies associated with Potanin

Getting on the sanctions list means freezing assets in the US and a ban on American citizens or companies from doing business with sanctioned persons

WASHINGTON, January 26. /TASS/. U.S. authorities on Thursday imposed sanctions on Yota co-founder Sergei Adonev and four companies associated with Russian entrepreneur Vladimir Potanin, the State Department said in a press release on Thursday.

The Department is also identifying two yachts and one aircraft associated with Adonev as blocked property.

The US also introduced restrictive measures against Potanin-related companies Whiteleave Holdings Limited, Saltcliff Trading Limited (both based in Cyprus), Interros Invest and Interros Capital. The sanctions list also includes Interros CEO Sergei Batekhin. The United States imposed sanctions on Potanin in 2022.
