Joint Coordination Center says 47% of Ukrainian grain exported to developing countries

The total tonnage of exports of grain and other food products from Ukrainian ports under the Initiative is 8,284,220 tons

UNITED NATIONS, October 22. /TASS/. As many as 47% of grain exported from Ukraine under an agreement reached in Istanbul has been shipped to developing countries, an official from the UN mission to the Joint Coordination Center for the Black Sea Grain Initiative told TASS.

"As of today, the total tonnage of exports of grain and other food products from Ukrainian ports under the Initiative is 8,284,220 tons. A 50% of this has been shipped to high-income countries, a 24% to low and lower-middle income countries and a 25% to middle income countries. There is 1% which is mixed. 47% of the wheat exported has been shipped to developing countries," the official said.
