MOSCOW, September 19. /TASS/. Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) on its official youtube account has published video footage of firing tests of a cannon for the Sukhoi T-50 fifth generation fighter jet (Prospective Airborne Complex of Frontline Aviation).

According to the manufacturer's press service, the tests of the NNPU-50 cannon mounting are being conducted at a testing range in Faustov, the Moscow region.

'UAC'

The mounting includes the 9-А1-4071, one of the lightest cannons of that type capable of destroying practically all modern armored targets. Up to 150 30 mm bullets can be fired during one sortie.

The 9-А1-4071 cannon is an upgraded version of the GSh-301 30 mm autocannon mounted on Russia's MiG-29, Su-27, Su-30, Su-33 and Su-35 fighters, as well as frontline bombers and the Yak-38 vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
