Russia’s Battlegroup South repel six Ukrainian attacks

MOSCOW, December 16. /TASS/. Russian troops repulsed six Ukrainian army attacks near the settlements of Maryinka, Krasny and Kleshcheyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Russia’s Battlegroup South Spokesman Vadim Astafyev told TASS on Saturday.

"Motorized infantry units of the Battlegroup South, supported by artillery fire, repulsed six attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army in the areas of Kleshcheyvka, Krasny and Maryinka," he stated.

"A damage was inflicted to manpower and equipment near the settlements of Kurdyumovka, Kleshcheyevka, Andreyevka, Vasyukova, Razdolovka, Veseloye and Maryinka," he said.

"The enemy’s losses in that direction amounted to 125 personnel killed and wounded. The enemy also lost three armored vehicles, two pickup trucks, four self-propelled guns that were produced in the United States and in the Czech Republic, as well as one D-30 howitzer.
