MOSCOW, September 30. /TASS/. Russia is the main target of fake news in the media of European countries, Ioana Jaleel, a Romanian blogger and expert at the Global Fact-Checking Network (GFCN) told TASS.
"I believe that in the European informational space, yes. I think it depends on the zone of the world. When we're talking about which country is seen in a good way or which country is seen in a bad way, we need to check where. Of course, because I'm a European, I'm mostly watching European media, even if I don't agree with it. I actually see this kind of information all over the place, everywhere, in the taxi, in my workplace, everywhere. So yes, I agree with the fact that Russia is the main target of fake news in the European media," she said.
According to the expert, Russia "unfortunately, it's seen as the biggest threat to Europe, especially in our part of Eastern Europe. We saw - as GFSN and me myself - by reading the news in the European mass media we saw many attempts to show that in Russia mobilization is imminent," Jaleel noted.
"And of course, they are doing their best, so that the news reach Russian society, because their main target is Russian society when it comes to mobilization. But, yes, they are trying to do so."
