Denmark to provide $970 mln aid package to Ukraine for air defense, artillery weapons

Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said he hoped that Denmark’s aid would inspire other allies for even larger support

STOCKHOLM, April 3. /TASS/. Denmark will provide its 25th aid package worth 6.7 billion Danish kroner ($970 million) to Ukraine in 2025-2027 for the purchase of air defense and artillery weapons and the support of Ukraine’s Air Force, Denmark’s Defense Ministry announced on Thursday.

"With the 25th donation package, we stress our support for Ukraine in the short-term and long-term perspective," Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen was quoted as saying in a press release.

Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said he hoped that Denmark’s aid would inspire other allies for even larger support, as Ukraine’s security was of decisive significance for the future of the whole of Europe.

Since February 2022, Denmark has allocated about 7.45 billion euros in military support for Ukraine. It has transferred another about 853 million euros in civilian contributions.
