UN, September 26. /TASS/. More than 5,000 people have died in Iran from attacks by the United States and Israel, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

"During the US-Israeli aggression against Iran, more than 5,000 people have been killed, including hundreds of women and children," he told reporters.

"They committed a grave crime and flagrant violation of international law by assassinating Iran's supreme leader, along with other senior political and military officials. The United States and the Israeli regime cannot whitewash their criminal acts against the people of Iran."
