UN, September 26. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that Moscow and Kuwait had always had good relations and expressed hope that they would remain so before the start of negotiations with his Kuwaiti counterpart Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

"We had very good relations with your predecessor, and I am sure that it is in the interests of both countries to ensure their continuity. I look forward to our cooperation," Lavrov said.

Earlier on Friday, the Russian minister met with Uganda’s Vice President Jessica Alupo, Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, and Sudan’s Sovereign Council head Abdel Fattah al·Burhan.
