BEIJING, March 22. /TASS/. Moscow’s resistance to Washington’s pressures gives Beijing an example that may turn out to be useful for the cause of restoring the country’s unity, analyst Hua Ping, of the Huayu think tank, said in the research center’s bulletin released on Tuesday.
"Russia’s efforts to resist US hegemony give China a useful example and a source of inspiration for resisting foreign intervention in the future and for the motherland’s reunification," Hua believes. He recalled that mainland China’s reunification with Taiwan was a "long-cherished dream of hundreds of millions of Chinese."
"Completion of the motherland’s reunification and national revival is something the world’s hegemons do not wish to see by any means," Hua said.
He does not rule out that in the future, when China will have to struggle for the country’s reunification and for the ultimate victory of the "great cause of national revival", Washington might resort to various tricks in attempts to excuse its intervention.
Hua warns that the United States will most likely be calling for "resistance to autocratic regimes and the protection of democratic values." The researcher believes that China should scrutinize different tactics and methods the United States might use in "wars for control of the public opinion and in legal and information wars."
