Kremlin spokesman refuses to comment on his wife's performance on TV show

Dmotry Peskov has just flat-out admitted "he was proud of his wife", the Olympic champion Tatiana Navka

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined making comments on the public criticism addressed to his wife Tatiana Navka for her Holocaust theme-based dance during a television show.

"I do not think this is the issue, which can be somehow associated with the Kremlin, and due to my work responsibilities I am restricted in the possibility of making comments on it," Peskov told journalists on Monday.

"I am proud of my wife and this is all I can say," the spokesman for President Vladimir Putin added.

Navka posted a few pictures of the dance on her Instagram account urging the audience not to forget the terrible tragedy of Holocaust.

In her post  the Olympic champion explained that the performance was based on “Life is Beautiful,” which she said is one of her favorite and very emotional movies. She also said the children need to know the truth about Holocaust.

The performance has caused contraversial resoponse in the social media - both in Russia and worldwide.
