SAN FRANCISCO /California/, November 16. /TASS/. Discussions regarding the final declaration of the APEC summit are still under way, and its adoption will depend on whether the document will retain its focus on economy, Russia’s chief delegate said.

"We’ll see whether this statement will keep the economic tone," Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, who heads the Russian delegation, told reporters when asked whether the adoption of a final statement should be expected.

"Discussions [about the final document] are still under way, our delegates are working," he added.

The APEC summit, which began in San Francisco on November 15, will end on November 17.
