MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed two Ukrainian multiple rocket launchers and two US-made counter-battery radars over the past day during the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Tuesday.
"In the area of the settlement of Kazachya Lopan in the Kharkov Region, an Olkha multiple launch rocket system was destroyed. In the area of the settlement of Dalneye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, a Ukrainian Uragan multiple rocket launcher was eliminated. In addition, two US-made AN/TPQ-36 and AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radars were destroyed in areas near the settlements of Dobropolye and Klinovskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the spokesman said.
In the past 24 hours, operational/tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile troops and artillery of the Russian group of forces struck 78 Ukrainian artillery units at firing positions, manpower and equipment in 142 areas, the general said.
Battles in Kupyansk direction
Russian forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower in the Kupyansk area, destroying about 75 enemy troops over the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, aircraft and artillery of the western battlegroup struck the Ukrainian army units in areas near the settlements of Sinkovka and Kislovka in the Kharkov Region," the spokesman said.
The strikes eliminated enemy manpower and equipment, the general said.
"The enemy’s losses in that area in the past 24 hours totaled as many as 75 Ukrainian personnel, an infantry fighting vehicle, three motor vehicles, four Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers and an MT-12 anti-tank gun," Konashenkov reported.
Battles in Krasny Liman direction
Russian forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower and equipment in the Krasny Liman area, eliminating over 95 enemy troops in the past day, the general reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, units of the battlegroup Center and artillery struck the enemy’s manpower and equipment in areas near the settlements of Yampolovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Nevskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the spokesman said.
Over 95 Ukrainian personnel, two armored combat vehicles, two pickup trucks, an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery gun, a D-30 howitzer, and also a US-made M777 artillery system were destroyed in that area in the past 24 hours, the general specified.
Battles in Donetsk direction
Russian forces eliminated about 150 Ukrainian troops in the Donetsk area over the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Donetsk direction, units of the southern battlegroup supported by artillery eliminated as many as 150 Ukrainian personnel in the past 24 hours in areas near the settlements of Zaliznyanskoye, Krasnoye and Tonenkoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of their active operations," the spokesman said.
Russian forces also destroyed three Ukrainian tanks, two armored combat vehicles, four pickup trucks, two motor vehicles, a D-20 howitzer, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, an MT-12 anti-tank gun and two US-made M777 artillery pieces, the general specified.
Battles in southern Donetsk, Zaporozhye directions
Russian forces destroyed roughly 60 Ukrainian troops in the southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye areas over the past day, Konashenkov reported.
In the southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, aircraft and artillery of the battlegroup East struck the Ukrainian army units near the communities of Prechistovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Uspenovka in the Zaporozhye Region, the spokesman specified.
"The enemy’s losses in those areas in the past 24 hours totaled as many as 60 Ukrainian personnel, two armored combat vehicles, three pickup trucks, three motor vehicles and a D-20 howitzer. In addition, an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian army’s 72nd mechanized brigade was obliterated in the settlement of Vodyanoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the general specified.
Battles in Kherson direction
Russian forces destroyed over 40 Ukrainian troops and three artillery guns in the Kherson area over the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Kherson direction, over 40 Ukrainian personnel, three armored combat vehicles, three motor vehicles, two Gvozdika self-propelled artillery guns and an Akatsiya howitzer were eliminated in the past 24 hours as a result of damage inflicted by firepower," the spokesman said.
Russia’s Aerospace Forces down Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter
Russian combat aircraft shot down a Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 fighter in the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 plane near the settlement of Krasnoarmeisk in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the spokesman said.
Russian air defenses down 23 rockets in past day
Russian air defense forces shot down 23 HIMARS, Smerch and Uragan rockets and destroyed 17 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the past 24 hours, air defense capabilities intercepted 23 rockets of the HIMARS, Smerch and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems. In addition, they destroyed 17 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in areas near the settlements of Novaya Zburyevka and Golaya Pristan in the Kherson Region, Kremennaya, Varvarovka and Zhitlovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Valeryanovka, Kirillovka, Volnovakha, Volodino and the railway station Mandrykino in the Donetsk People’s Republic and also Mezhirich in the Zaporozhye Region," the spokesman said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 401 Ukrainian warplanes, 220 helicopters, 3,418 unmanned aerial vehicles, 412 surface-to-air missile systems, 8,293 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,057 multiple rocket launchers, 4,350 field artillery guns and mortars and 8,924 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, Konashenkov reported.
