MOSCOW, May 20. /TASS/. Nearly 81% of the polled Russians trust President Vladimir Putin, according to a survey by the Public Opinion Research Center VTsIOM, published on Friday. The pollster questioned an audience of 1,600 Russian men and women of age on May 10-15.
"Asked about trust towards Putin 80.7% of the respondents answered in the affirmative (up 0.8 points in contrast to the previous poll on May 2-8). The level of approval of the president’s activity was at 77.7% (up 0.5 point over the past week)," the survey said.
The activity of the government and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is approved by 52.2% (up 1.1 points over one week) and 50.1% (down 1.9 points) accordingly. The head of the Cabinet is trusted by 61.2% of the polled (down 0.9 point over one week).
The level of support for the United Russia party was at 40.5% (up 0.6 point). The Communist Party’s rating was at 10.7% (down 0.6 over one week), New People’s, at 4.6% (down 0.3), the LDPR’s, at 8.7% (unchanged), and A Just Russia - For Truth’s, at 5.6% (up 0.3).
