MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Dutch counterpart Stef Blok have discussed US withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty on the sidelines of 2019 Munich Security Conference, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
"The ministers discussed the situation around the US withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, the situation in Ukraine, as well as some aspects of bilateral relations," the foreign ministry said.
On February 1 US President Donald Trump and State Secretary Michael Pompeo announced that Washington suspends its participation in the INF Treaty starting on February 2 and will withdraw from the Treaty completely in six months because the US thinks Russia violates the agreement. In response to that, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 2 that Moscow also suspends its participation in the Treaty.
