Russia’s energy consumption growth totals 3.4%

"Currently energy consumption stands at 3.4% considering a leap year as of the current date," Head of System Operator of the Unified Energy System Fyodor Opadchy said at a meeting of the State Duma’s energy committee

MOSCOW, November 19. /TASS/. Growth of energy consumption in Russia currently stands at 3.4%, head of System Operator of the Unified Energy System [UES] Fyodor Opadchy said.

"Currently (energy consumption - TASS) stands at 3.4% considering a leap year as of the current date," he said at a meeting of the State Duma’s (lower house of the parliament) energy committee.

Deputy Energy Minister Yevgeny Grabchak added that energy consumption in the country is projected to gain 3-3.5% by the end of the year.
