MOSCOW, February 29. /TASS/. The first route of the high-speed railroad between Moscow and St. Petersburg will pass through Tver and Veliky Novgorod, President Vladimir Putin said in the State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly.

"The first route between Moscow and St. Petersburg will pass through Tver and our ancient capital Veliky Novgorod," Putin said.

The head of state also confirmed plans to build such railroads to other cities, including Minsk.
