Rosgeo signs two-year exploration contract with Uzbekistan — CEO

Rosgeo is currently considering contracts with six African countries and will take part in a tender in India

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Rosgeo and Uzbekistan signed an exploration contract for two years, CEO of the Russian geological holding Sergey Gorkov told TASS.

"We signed a new 1.6 bln ruble ($20.7 mln) contract with Uzbekistan on 2D and 3D seismic near the Aral Sea. This is a fairly large for us and an important contract. The contract is intended for two years," the top manager said.

Rosgeo is currently considering contracts with six African countries and will take part in a tender in India, Gorkov noted. The company is also holding talks on participation in projects in the UAE and Iraq.
