VEB to develop technology, 5G and self-driven transport projects — CEO

VEB also intends in particular to develop a 5G project and drones as part of cybersecurity

MOSCOW, January 25. /TASS/. VEB plans to develop technology platform, 5G and robotic transport projects in cooperation with partners as part of supporting Russia’s technological sovereignty, CEO of the state development corporation Igor Shuvalov told reporters.

"We are launching a special technology platform named Buy and Build together with Skolkovo. It will provide an opportunity to acquire new technologies and startups emerging on the market and support financing of utility models," the chief executive said.

VEB also intends in particular to develop a 5G project and drones as part of cybersecurity. "We start the project with the Russian Post - this project has plenty of different applications, civilian and defense. The 5G is an important decision for us; we hope to have a contract with Moscow," Shuvalov added.
