MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. The current economic crisis gives Russia and the world a chance to take a fresh look at information technology, develop online technologies, Head of Russia’s Accounts Chamber Alexey Kudrin said in an interview with RBC TV channel.

"I think the crisis will give us a new look at information technology, digitalization, and IT. Companies are switching to online, so we are facing a new world that we were promised before, but now this future will just come sooner. We will sell everything online or we will all talk and work using video services where it is possible. These industries will boom. Will Russia participate in such technological breakthrough? Let's see," he said.

According to him, Russia has a safety net during the crisis - accumulated reserves and a low level of debt.

"Russia has an important advantage compared to other countries - a very low level of debt, unprecedentedly low. It provides some stability. And our reserves are bigger than in other countries. This is, let’s say, a safety net for the period of crisis," Kudrin added.
