Foreign countries express strong interest in Russia’s 'Army' forum — top military officer

According to Valery Gerasimov, more than 240 displays were presented at the thematic sites, including those from friendly countries: Belarus, Iran and China

MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Foreign countries show strong interest in the International Military-Technical Forum "Army," Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Army General Valery Gerasimov said at a briefing for foreign military attaches.

"Despite the encouragement of blatant Russophobia by countries of the collective West, there is strong interest in the International Military-Technical Forum 'Army.' This year, despite attempts at open pressure from the West, the forum was attended by 80 foreign delegations, 35 of which were headed by defense ministers and chiefs of general staff, as well as more than 120 foreign companies," he said.

According to Gerasimov, more than 240 displays were presented at the thematic sites, including those from friendly countries: Belarus, Iran and China. There were exhibitions of trophy military equipment captured by Russian servicemen in the course of the special military operation. The exposition consisted of more than 30 exhibits representing armored vehicles and various types of small arms and military engineering equipment produced by NATO member countries.
