WASHINGTON, May 16. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump said US forces, in a joint operation with the Nigerian military, eliminated a senior leader of the Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS, banned in Russia) terrorist group, Abu-Bilal al-Minuki.

"Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, second in command of ISIS globally, thought he could hide in Africa, but little did he know we had sources who kept us informed on what he was doing. He will no longer terrorize the people of Africa, or help plan operations to target Americans," the American leader wrote on Truth Social.
