G20 foreign ministers’ meeting kicks off in South Africa

The event began with a welcoming speech by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa

JOHANNESBURG, February 20. /TASS/. The meeting of the G20 top diplomats in Johannesburg has begun, a TASS correspondent reported. Russia is represented at the event by Sergey Lavrov.

All the foreign ministers were greeted at the entrance with national dances to the beat of drums. The event began with a welcoming speech by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The top Russian diplomat's seat at the G20 table is between his counterparts from Turkey and South Korea. Lavrov is scheduled to speak at the event.
