West supplies Kiev with Afghan war-era Stinger missiles — CNN

The report noted that they were "decades older than some of the soldiers" of the Ukrainian armed forces

NEW YORK, January 11. /TASS/. Ukraine receives from the West hand-held Stinger anti-air missiless from the time of the Afghan conflict in 1979-1989, CNN reported.

Ukrainian air defense troops told the TV company that they had received from the West "unboxed crates of Western-donated hand-held Stinger anti-air missiles," which were produced during the period of participation of Soviet troops in the war in Afghanistan, that is, they were "decades older than some of the soldiers" of the Ukrainian armed forces.

Since Russia launched its special military operation, Western countries have repeatedly increased arms deliveries to Ukraine. At the same time, Kiev is constantly asking its partners for more advanced equipment, American fighter jets and long-range missiles. Nevertheless, the Western mass media have recently begun to publish more and more "leaks" and analytical articles about the Western partners' fatigue with the situation around Ukraine and the forthcoming cuts in the amount of aid allocated to Kiev.
