Hamas military wing says it fired rocket salvo at Tel Aviv

"The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades fired a rocket salvo towards Tel Aviv in response to the killing of civilians," the group said

CAIRO, December 3. /TASS/. The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, said it had fired a salvo of rockets towards Tel Aviv late on Saturday.

"The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades fired a rocket salvo towards Tel Aviv in response to the killing of civilians," the group said on Telegram.

Over the past few hours, Hamas claimed responsibility for several attacks on cities and towns in Israel. Late on Saturday, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades said it had shelled the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Ashkelon and the kibbutz of Kissufim near the border with the Gaza Strip, as well as clusters of Israeli manpower in the districts of Al Tawam and Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip.

On the morning of December 1, the Israel Defense Forces accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire and announced the resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian government held the United States responsible for the resumption of Israel’s ground operation in Gaza.
