China’s Xi calls for wider cooperation in vaccine research and production

Beijing is ready to strengthen cooperation in the key industries with all parties, the Chinese President noted

BEIJING, June 24. /TASS/. China’s President Xi Jinping has called on the world community to intensify the joint production of vaccines and research and development in this area. He was speaking at the BRICS+ summit videoconference on Friday.

"China is ready to strengthen cooperation in the key industries with all parties, to mobilize resources for development, deepen global cooperation on poverty alleviation, to promote partnership in the field of alternative energy sources, to strengthen vaccine research and development and joint production," China’s Foreign Ministry quotes Xi in a news release.

Xi also pointed out that it was necessary to work on improving the cyber literacy of the population and accelerating industrial modernization to the benefit of all countries.
