China ready to face challenges and fight for peace with Iran — Chinese Defense Minister

According to Chinese Defense Minister, China "strongly supports Iran's state sovereignty and national dignity"

BEIJING, April 28. /TASS/. Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe said during a visit to Tehran that China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) together with Iran is ready to face challenges, counter risks and maintain stability in the entire world, the Chinese Defense Ministry reported on Thursday.

"We are ready to cooperate with Iran to respond to challenges and all kinds of risks through joint efforts, protect mutual interests, and ensure regional and global peace and stability together," Wei Fenghe stressed during a meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

According to Chinese Defense Minister, China "strongly supports Iran's state sovereignty and national dignity." He noted that cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries has developed successfully in recent years.

"The Chinese Armed Forces are ready to maintain strategic dialogue with the Iranian side, actively use interaction mechanisms, promote pragmatic cooperation, and help raise the level of our bilateral inter-army relations," Wei Fenghe added.
